Q & C were the mascots for British sherry brand QC in the 1980s. They were the anthropomorphized letters of the brand. Their first advert debuted in 1984. Their latest advert was last seen in 1987, suggesting that by 1988 they were no longer appearing on TV.
Q & C appeared to have been good friends with each other, sharing drinks, taking part in amateur dramatics together, and even going on holiday together, that last example might have one wonder if they really are friends, or perhaps something else.

Their first two appearances were animated by Richard Purdum in a similar vein to his English Cheese adverts. Going forward, they were animated by another unknown studio with much more polished character design and smoother animation.
