HH (stylized as hh) is the mascot for American retail store H. H. Gregg (also known as simply hhgregg).
HH is a sentient CGI-animated talking catalogue. He has red hair, a floating yellow head, red shoes, and gloves. He was introduced on the 28th of July in 2009, in a blog post from hhgregg's blog.
The mascot was designed by Zimmerman Advertising and animated by Hinge Digital, and was made with an “endearing personality” in mind, but not completely over-the-top or distracting. HH was designed with scheduling and workflow as a key component. According to LiaisonPR, a library of reusable assets for HH commercials was made so that they could efficiently make CG advertisements quick.
HH is most known for his commercials from 2009 to 2011, with the most popular of them being Christmas in July, used in July of 2010, where he sings at the front of an hhgregg store about the aforementioned store's sales of Christmas in July, to the tune of Deck the Halls, before getting hit by a snowball. The commercial itself is actually a variant of the Red Tag Sale ad, which, unlike the Christmas in July commercial, was used in December of 2009.
