In 2012, new adverts were launched featuring Gio being attacked by various celebrities who wanted to "save the nation" from his annoying singing.

In the 2014 adverts, Gio made cameos as a bus driver whilst the focus was on the residents of a fictional Welsh town called Landofsavingmoneyandgettingtherightdealgogogocompare, which is Gio's hometown. But in July 2015, Gio returned as the main focus of the adverts.
