Gio Compario is a fictional tenor who has been the mascot of Gocompare.com since 2009. In each advert he has been in, he sings a song about the website to the tune of Over There.
In 2012, new adverts were launched featuring Gio being attacked by various celebrities who found him annoying. Gio was removed from the adverts in 2013 and the adverts instead showed the residents of a fictional Welsh town called Landofsavingmoneyandgettingtherightdealgogogocompare. But in July 2015, Gio returned to the adverts.
He is played by Welsh singer Wynne Evans.
